SEMI FINAL VICTORY

Through to the Cup Final after most people didn't give us a chance.
We had already beaten two Division one teams on route to the Semi Final and we were drawn out of the hat to play the newly crowned Champions of Division one.
We set up slightly differently to how we normally play but once that first whistle went we dominated the 1st half. Chances went begging and I thought it was going to cost us not taking any of them but Kitt shot from around 25 yards into the top right hand corner to put us 1 up in the 27th minute. Woking never created one chance in the whole half and in the 35th minute Joe latched onto a pass from Sam to put us 2 up when he found himself one on one with the keeper. With time running out Sam put in another fantastic cross that Scottie reacted to quicker than the Woking defence to send the Abbey supporters into dream land with half time score at 3-0 to Abbey.
We knew the tie wasn't over as obviously Woking & Weybridge weren't Division one Champions for nothing and it was bit of back to the walls in the 2nd half with the odd breakaway and last ditch tackles plus some great saves by Robbie the cat Buttaci.
Woking pulled two goals back by the 75th minute and the last 15 minutes were the longest 15 minutes of my life but the boys held for a great victory to reach the Twyford-Pollard Cup Final in our very 1st season.
