Over the last 16 years Denis has been instrumental in driving Abbey Rangers forwards to improve the level of football and social facilities provided to children and adults in the local communities. His significant contributions to the Club have been delivered through his determination, knowledge of grassroots football and commercial skills and Denis has helped create a legacy which will last for generations. In recent years his Chairmanship has seen the Club go from strength to strength with some notable highlights including the men’s 1st team promotion to Step 5 in the Combined Counties League and the construction of a floodlit all-weather 3G pitch. We are truly grateful and humbled that Denis is handing over the Club in a perfect position to continue its journey of development and progression.

Denis has also been a key figure across the local grassroots network as he was also part of several other committees, leagues and affiliations as a widely respected contributor to football in the community. We hope that Denis will not become a stranger at the Club and will still be regularly visiting to cheer on the teams and share some refreshments. His passion, drive, humour and friendship has been valued by so many at Abbey Rangers F.C. and we wholeheartedly thank Denis for his years of service and wish him every success for the future.
