Abbey Rangers FC Committee Announces Retirement of Honorary Secretary

It is with great sadness and respect that Abbey Rangers FC announces Graham Keable is retiring from his position as Honorary Secretary. This will take effect from the time of the Club’s next Annual General Meeting this summer.

Over the last 29 years Graham has been pivotal in developing Abbey Rangers into the club it is today, helping to take it from humble beginnings to one of the leading grassroots football clubs in the South East. When Graham first joined us the facilities at The Moor comprised of two very modest portacabins, and with incredible tenacity and passion Graham helped to fund and build our current clubhouse with fully equipped facilities and now our grounds also include a floodlit main pitch and floodlit all-weather 3G pitch. For decades Graham has also delivered our Mini Rangers soccer school and disability football to young footballers in the local community, and he has been integral in the Surrey Youth Games bringing girls and ladies football to Abbey Rangers and more recently our Wildcats football school for young girls.

Graham’s contributions to Abbey Rangers FC and to grassroots football has helped create a legacy that will last for generations for which we are extremely appreciative and humbled. His tenacity and commercial acumen has been valued by so many at Abbey Rangers FC and we wholeheartedly thank Graham for his 29 years of dedication and service and wish him every success for the future in his well-deserved retirement.
