Disability Football

We are currently recruiting players for our Under 12 and Under 16 Pan disability football sides.

We play in the FA Pan Disability league. Our league matches are the last Sunday of every month (9:45-12:30) on astroturf at Excel Leisure, Walton-on-Thames. We play small pitch 6- or 7-a-side.

The standard of play varies and we are totally inclusive. Our club attracts children with Autism, ADHD, Cerebral Palsy, Downs Syndrome, Physical, Visual, Auditory, Learning, Behavioural, Emotional or Sensory disabilities. We can include all in our games as we play 5 seconds’ rule for less able players. That’s five seconds for everyone to stand off to allow the player to trap the ball and pass or shoot.

We can accommodate children with all needs and abilities. The children can play football with amputations, walking frames, feeding tubes or needing a carer on the pitch with them. Carers can’t kick the ball but can run with players and ensure the 5 secs rule is used fairly. The games are supervised by FA referees and coaches. It is exciting, fun, competitive and gives the children a real sense of team work and accomplishment. Smiles and encouragement all round whether we win, lose or draw. At the end of the season we have prize giving and awards for exceptional efforts etc.

Our coach Graham is superb, the Mums and Dads are supportive and keen for the club to flourish and continue. Try outs are free and we allow a few weeks’ grace before fees are due so that you can adjust and see if the child enjoys the club. Fees are £80 per season (Aug-May). Discounts for siblings. Fees can be broken down and or funded if necessary.

Boots and Shinpads required, plus warm sports clothes as we play outdoors. Parents and carers can get involved. We supply all Match kits and can help with training boots and kits we get passed on.
